Newly promoted Nairobi United have made an impressive start to life among the elite, carrying their fine domestic form into continental competition where they stunned Tunisian giants Étoile du Sahel 2–0 in the CAF Confederation Cup. They will not be in league action this weekend, alongside defending champions Kenya Police FC, who are representing Kenya in the CAF Champions League and suffered a narrow 1–0 defeat to Sudanese side Al Hilal Omdurman. Both teams are set to travel for their respective return legs, with Police FC facing Al Hilal on October 24 in Libya, while Nairobi United head to Sousse for their second leg against Étoile du Sahel on October 26.
