NCBA champions women entrepreneurs in Nandi County by hosting an exclusive business dinner at Allen Hotel, Kapsabet. The high-profile event brought together business leaders, financial experts, and county officials to discuss innovative financial solutions, access to credit, and strategies to unlock growth for women-led enterprises.
Nandi County’s economy, heavily fueled by tea, maize, and dairy farming, has witnessed impressive growth, with revenue surging 12.5% from KSH 356.1 million to KSH 600.2 million in just a year. This success is credited to improved revenue collection systems, automation, and expanded trade opportunities.
NCBA Deputy Director and Head of Branches, Jane Ng’ang’a, reaffirmed the bank’s dedication to financial inclusion. “We recognize the resilience and ambition of women entrepreneurs and are committed to ensuring they have access to the resources, knowledge, and networks needed to thrive,” she stated.
Held under the theme “Supporting Women, Inspiring Futures,” the event sparked insightful discussions on trade finance, asset funding, and agriculture-driven business opportunities. With cooperatives, dairy groups, and agribusinesses playing a key role in Nandi’s economic landscape, the forum emphasized how women can leverage financial support to scale their ventures.
Nandi Deputy Governor Dr. Yulita Chebotip Mitei lauded the initiative, saying, “Women-owned businesses are the backbone of our economy, and partnerships like these will open doors to greater financial success.”
As NCBA continues expanding across Kenya, forums like this serve as a bridge between financial institutions and businesses, unlocking new opportunities for sustainable growth and long-term prosperity.
