Dennis Gakuo and Naomi Kimata emerged as the overall winners in the men’s and women’s categories, respectively, at the 8th leg of the NCBA Golf Series held on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at the par-72 Thika Sports Club.
A total of 270 golfers participated in the tournament, showcasing impressive skills across various divisions. Gakuo, playing off a handicap of 3, delivered a commanding performance with a gross score of 77, securing the men’s top spot. Kimata, competing off a handicap of 14, posted a gross score of 85, clinching the overall ladies’ title.
In Division I (handicap 12 and below), Edward Nyamu (handicap 8) led the men’s category with 37 points. Simon Kibe (handicap 20) took the Division II men’s title with 40 points, while Veronica Wanjiku (handicap 22) emerged victorious in the Division II ladies’ category with 41 points. Rose Nduta (handicap 42) matched Wanjiku’s score, winning the Division III (handicap 25 and above) category.
