Koskei Directs MDAs to Submit Service Delivery Charters

Felix Koskei, Kenya’s Chief of Staff and Head of Public Service, has issued a directive to all Principal Secretaries and county secretaries, instructing them to submit their Ministries, Departments, and Agencies’ (MDAs) service delivery charters to the Commission on Administrative Justice (CAJ).

This move aligns with the CAJ’s ongoing efforts to enhance transparency and accountability in public service delivery. The charters are expected to outline the standards of service citizens can expect from each MDA. Koskei’s directive underscores the government’s commitment to improving service delivery and ensuring that public institutions are responsive to the needs of the citizens.

This initiative is part of Koskei’s broader strategy to reform Kenya’s public service, which has included the introduction of the FOTIMS (Front Office and Technical Integrated Management System) and the PODIMS (Public Offices Digitisation Management System). These reforms aim to streamline operations and enhance coordination across ministries, contributing to a more efficient and transparent public service.

Koskei’s leadership has been instrumental in advancing these initiatives, reflecting a commitment to transforming Kenya’s public sector into a more accountable and citizen-focused entity.
