Gachagua Refutes Ruto’s Claims on Impeachment Causes

Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has dismissed President William Ruto’s assertions that his impeachment resulted from internal conflicts with State House officials and Members of Parliament. In a statement shared on his X account on Monday, March 31, Gachagua refuted allegations that he demanded Ksh10 billion to garner support for Ruto in the Mt. Kenya region.

Gachagua has consistently challenged the legitimacy of his impeachment, attributing it to political motivations and disputes over government policies, particularly concerning forced evictions during adverse weather conditions. He has vowed to contest the charges through legal avenues, expressing confidence in the judiciary’s commitment to upholding the rule of law.
