Chris Brown, the American R&B singer, has been arrested in Manchester, UK, on suspicion of grievous bodily harm related to an alleged assault at TAPE nightclub in London in February 2023. The arrest follows a lawsuit filed by music producer Abe Diaw, who claims Brown attacked him with a bottle, causing severe injuries.

According to reports, Brown was arrested at The Lowry Hotel after arriving in the UK for his upcoming Breezy Bowl tour. The Metropolitan Police had to travel to Manchester after receiving a tip-off. Brown is accused of hitting Diaw in the head with a bottle of Don Julio 1942 tequila and then stomping on him while he was unconscious. Diaw alleges the attack caused lacerations on his head, torn ligaments in his leg, and lasting emotional distress.

The incident was reportedly captured on surveillance footage, which has been obtained by London’s Metropolitan Police. Brown is expected to appear in a UK court on Friday. His legal team has not responded to requests for comment
