Felix Osano has been officially appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of Nairobi Hospital, effective immediately. This announcement was made today by the Kenya Hospital Association (KHA), the institution’s governing body. Osano succeeds James Nyamongo, who served as CEO until December 2024. Since then, Osano has been serving as the acting CEO.
Osano brings over 17 years of professional experience to the role, having previously served as the Director of Supply Chain at Nairobi Hospital. His background includes leadership positions in private equity investments, fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), and healthcare organizations across Africa and Asia. He holds an MBA in Global Business Management from USIU-Africa and is currently a Doctoral Candidate in Strategic Management at the same institution.
The appointment comes at a time when Nairobi Hospital is navigating through internal governance challenges and legal investigations. Despite these hurdles, the KHA has expressed confidence in Osano’s leadership to steer the hospital towards stability and continued excellence in healthcare delivery.
Felix Osano’s appointment marks a new chapter for Nairobi Hospital as it seeks to strengthen its leadership and uphold its commitment to providing quality healthcare services.
