Following an earlier warning to respect the party leadership and the presidency, United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Secretary General Cleophas Malala has come under fire from Nyeri Governor Mutahi Kahiga and Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi.
In an social media post, Kahiga reiterated his earlier statements that the Mt. Kenya region will not stand by and let the nation’s second-in-command be humiliated within the government. Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua is also the deputy party head for the UDA.
He continued to make ridicule of Malala, claiming that he should be expelled from the UDA party right now since he is unimportant to the party.
“In UDA, Ag SG Malala resembles a square peg stuck in a circular hole. He is not appropriate. The governor of Nyeri declared, “I have said it before and I will say it again: we must remove him in the upcoming UDA elections.”
“We have come from a time when speaking our opinions was met with threats and gag orders. The quicker our ANC acting SG in UDA realized that UDA was never founded on such principles, the better for him.
On his part, Sudi said: “Elevated MCA thinking he matches Raphael Tuju’s calibre, suffering from illusory superiority.”
Malala had already sent a letter cautioning a number of UDA members, including Moses Kuria and Kipchumba Murkomen, cabinet secretaries, Kahiga, Sudi, and Githunguri MP Gathoni Wamuchomba.
Malala claimed in the letter that the aforementioned people were either breaking the law by engaging in political activity or disrespecting the president and party leadership.
