Moses Magogo has been re-elected unopposed as President of the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) for a fourth consecutive four-year term. The decision was confirmed during the 101st FUFA Ordinary Elective General Assembly held on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at the Hoima Resort Hotel.
This new mandate will see Magogo extend his leadership at the helm of FUFA until 2029, bringing his total tenure to an unprecedented 16 years. Having first assumed office in 2013, succeeding Dr. Lawrence Mulindwa, Magogo now becomes the longest-serving FUFA President in the federation’s history.
The FUFA General Assembly comprising 88 delegates drawn from all corners of Ugandan football serves as the supreme decision-making body. Its composition includes 16 representatives from the Uganda Premier League, 5 from the second division, 2 from the national women’s leagues, 48 from FUFA’s regional football associations, and 17 from special interest groups. This wide representation ensures that football decisions reflect the diverse voices within the Ugandan football ecosystem.
In his victory address, Magogo expressed heartfelt gratitude and reiterated his unwavering commitment to football development:
“I want to thank the delegates of the 101st FUFA AGM hosted in Hoima City for electing me and my colleagues of the Executive Committee to lead the game of football for another term of 4 years. Our passion and commitment will only be new. We will give the best of our abilities, so please work with us to achieve our set objectives.”

Reflecting on his journey, he added:
“Over the past 12 years, I have dedicated myself to football, sacrificing my private and professional life. I am proud of my contribution and have an even greater desire to continue working with your support to generate more resources for the game. “
The Assembly also ushered in a restructured Executive Committee, which balances continuity with new energy. Among the retained leaders are Justus Mugisha as First Vice President, Dr. Twaib Azar who replaces the late Darius Mugoye as Second Vice President, and Hon. Florence Nakiwala Kiyingi continuing as Third Vice President.
