Harambee Stars Head Coach Benni McCarthy has unveiled his final squad for the upcoming international friendlies in Turkey, with the spotlight firmly on teenage sensation Aldrine Kibet, who has earned his first-ever call-up to the senior national team.

Also making headlines is the return of Ovella Ochieng, whose resurgence with Nairobi United has been pivotal in the club’s fairy-tale run to the CAF Confederation Cup group stage. Ovella’s comeback injects both experience and flair on the wings as he rejoins the Stars setup after a lengthy absence.

The squad also welcomes back Baron Ochieng, the former Sofapaka defender now plying his trade with Egyptian giants Zamalek, alongside Tusker FC goalkeeper Brian Opondo and Jonah Ayunga of Scottish side St Mirren, both earning deserved recalls after consistent performances for their respective clubs.

However, captain Michael Olunga will be unavailable for the two matches, with the Al Arabi forward missing out on the trip to Turkey.

Kenya will play two international friendlies in Antalya during the November FIFA window; first facing Madagascar on November 14, before taking on Comoros on either November 17 or 18 (fixture date to be confirmed). The matches are expected to provide valuable preparation time as McCarthy continues to mold his squad ahead of competitive assignments as well as Fifa rankings
