Nine cutting-edge startups from the Safaricom Spark Accelerator Program made a bold pitch to top investors during a high-stakes Investor Demo Day, marking a major milestone in their journey to success. The event provided a platform for the startups to secure funding, scale operations, and revolutionize industries.
The selected startups—Health X Africa, Vunapay, BlackRhino VR, Twiva, Chpter, Churpy, Nobuk Africa, Faidi HR, and Chumz—are shaking up sectors like Embedded Finance, SME Productivity, Digital Content, Healthcare, and Fintech.
“At Safaricom, we believe technology is a powerful driver of change. That’s why we are committed to nurturing startups, fueling innovation, and shaping the future through the Spark Accelerator Program,” said Safaricom CEO, Dr. Peter Ndegwa.
The Safaricom Spark Accelerator Program is backed by Safaricom, Sumitomo Corporation, and M-PESA Africa, with key partners including iHub (the implementing partner), AWS, Vodacom, and PwC. The initiative equips early-stage startups with mentorship, funding, and market access, positioning them for exponential growth.
