President William Ruto has arrived at Parliament to deliver the 2025 State of the Nation Address. He was accompanied by First Lady Rachel Ruto and received by Deputy President Kithure Kindiki and Chief of Defence Forces General Charles Kahariri.

Upon arrival, the President greeted the leadership of both Houses, led by National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula and Senate Speaker Amason Kingi, before inspecting a guard of honour mounted by the Kenya Defence Forces.

Security around Parliament has been significantly tightened. GSU officers and regular police have been deployed along major routes leading to the precincts, including Harambee Avenue and City Hall Way.
Several roads around Parliament have been temporarily closed, with motorists and pedestrians urged to use alternative routes. Traffic marshals and police officers are on the ground directing vehicles and managing congestion to ensure smooth movement in the area.
