A Kenyan police officer serving in Haiti’s peacekeeping mission was fatally shot during an operation in the Artibonite region. The officer was responding to a call for assistance from residents in Pont-Sonde when the incident occurred. Despite being airlifted to a hospital, he succumbed to his injuries. This marks the first casualty for the Kenyan-led multinational mission in Haiti.
