The Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) has maintained fuel prices for the month of October, keeping the cost of super petrol, diesel, and kerosene unchanged across the country.
In Nairobi, a litre of super petrol will continue retailing at Ksh.184.52, diesel at Ksh.171.47, and kerosene at Ksh.154.78.
In Mombasa, prices remain at Ksh.181.24 for petrol, Ksh.168.19 for diesel, and Ksh.151.49 for kerosene.
EPRA said the prices include 16% Value Added Tax (VAT) as required under the Finance Act 2023, Tax Laws (Amendment) Act 2024, and Legal Notice No. 194 of 2020, which adjusts excise duty for inflation.
The regulator noted that fuel price controls aim to cap retail prices of petroleum products already available in the market, ensuring fair and stable prices for consumers.
According to EPRA, the average landed cost of imported super petrol fell slightly by 0.10%, from US$620.84 to US$620.24 per cubic metre between August and September 2025. Meanwhile, diesel costs rose by 1.57% to US$623.75, and kerosene increased by 2.97% to US$627.72 over the same period.
