President William Ruto’s ongoing development tour of Nairobi was marred by a tragic incident on Ngong Road. A foreign national, described as a middle-aged white man, was struck and killed by a speeding vehicle reportedly attached to the presidential convoy. The victim was attempting to cross the busy road when the accident occurred. His body was transported to the City Mortuary, where an autopsy is pending.
Despite this unfortunate event, President Ruto continued with his tour, visiting Kibra and Lang’ata constituencies. In Kibra, he launched affordable housing projects and announced plans to transform the area into an estate, aiming to improve living conditions. He also pledged to sponsor 170 students from underprivileged backgrounds to attend a newly established school in the Ngong area.
Additionally, President Ruto declared that all Kenyans would receive national identification cards free of charge, eliminating previous fees and aiming to enhance service accessibility.
