Thika Chief Magistrate Stella Atambo Dismisses EACC’s Bribery Allegations

Thika Law Courts Chief Magistrate Stellah Atambo is under investigation by the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) following allegations of bribery and illicit financial dealings. The EACC received multiple complaints accusing Atambo of soliciting and receiving bribes from individuals involved in criminal cases before her court.

In response to these allegations, the EACC conducted a raid on Atambo’s residence, where they recovered Ksh. 2,070,000 in cash concealed in a laptop bag. The commission further alleges that these bribes were collected through Patrick Njeri Muriithi, a clerk working under Atambo.
