Senator Joe Nyutu has stated that the Mt. Kenya region has no issue with opposition leader Raila Odinga joining the government, but raised concerns over the potential implications of such a move.

Speaking in an interview today, Nyutu clarified that while there is no objection to Odinga’s political decisions, the region is wary of the influence he could wield if included in President William Ruto’s administration.

Nyutu, a member of the Jubilee Party, emphasized that the primary concern is whether Raila’s inclusion could result in the displacement of key figures currently holding positions within the government.

The senator also voiced dissatisfaction with President Ruto’s leadership, questioning the potential power shift that might occur if Odinga were to gain significant influence within the administration.
