Kapseret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi has withdrawn charges against 16 youths accused of looting and vandalizing his Timba XO Club in Eldoret during the June 2024 Gen Z protests.

The youths faced allegations of stealing goods valued at approximately Sh78 million and causing property damage exceeding Sh80 million. Following their arrests, families of the accused appealed for Sudi’s forgiveness, highlighting their financial hardships and the impact on their futures.

Responding to these pleas, Sudi instructed his representatives to unconditionally withdraw the case, emphasizing a desire to forgive and move forward. The court’s decision was met with gratitude from the youths, who expressed remorse for their actions and thanked Sudi for his leniency.
