Westlands MP Tim Wanyonyi has vehemently condemned the forceful arrest of a person with disability (PWD) during a peaceful demonstration in Nakuru. A video circulating online shows plainclothes police officers forcibly carrying the individual and placing them into a vehicle. Wanyonyi, who is also a person living with disability, expressed deep concern over the incident, stating, “As a person living with disability, I am deeply disturbed by the manner in which the individual was mishandled.”

The MP emphasized that peaceful protest is a constitutional right and that no Kenyan, especially one living with disability, should be subjected to such indignity and excessive force.
