She emphasized that these decisions were misinterpreted as signs of marital discord, highlighting the societal tendency to scrutinize women’s personal choices.

Addressing the speculation, Michelle remarked, “But the interesting thing is that when I say no, for the most part, people are like, ‘I get it, and I’m okay.’ Right? And that’s the thing that we as women, I think we struggle with, like disappointing people.”
