Carlos Baleba Named Brighton & Hove Albion Young Player of the Season

Cameroonian international Carlos Baleba has been named Brighton & Hove Albion’s Young Player of the Season for the 2024/25 campaign, capping off a breakthrough year in the Premier League.

The 21-year-old midfielder, who joined the Seagulls from French side Lille in August 2023, has impressed fans and pundits alike with his dynamic performances and maturity beyond his years. Baleba made 36 appearances across all competitions, contributing four goals and two assists, and quickly became a mainstay in Brighton’s midfield setup.
