Dala 7s Main Final Confirmed as KCB Set Up Title Showdown with Defending Champions Kabras Sugar.

The 2025 Dala 7s final is set and it’s a clash worthy of the stage. Newly crowned National Sevens Circuit champions KCB Rugby will face defending Dala 7s champions Kabras Sugar in a mouthwatering finale that promises fireworks in Kisumu.

KCB were the first to book their place in the final with a convincing 19–5 win over a spirited Daystar Falcons side. Having already sealed the overall National Sevens Circuit title after edging Strathmore Leos in the quarters, KCB showed no signs of slowing down. The lions were sharp in attack and organized in defence, dispatching Daystar to return to the Dala 7s final for the first time since 2023 — the year they last lifted the trophy.

It’s a remarkable turnaround from last season, when KCB fell at the quarterfinal stage to Kenya Harlequin. This time, with the title already in hand and momentum fully behind them, the bankers are now just one win away from reclaiming their Dala 7s crown.

Earlier in the day, Kabras Sugar delivered a disciplined performance to defeat Menengai Oilers 14–0 in the Rai Group derby. The defending champions were calm under pressure and clinical when it mattered most, booking their spot in the final for the second year in a row. Kabras now stand on the verge of back-to-back Dala 7s titles a feat that would cap off another strong season for the sugar men.

With both finalists unbeaten so far in Kisumu, the stage is perfectly set for a grand showdown between the circuit kings and the defending Dala 7s champions. It’s a rivalry that has grown in stature over recent years, and Sunday’s final will be another fierce chapter in their story.
