Posta Rangers FC have retained their place in the FKF Premier League after edging Naivas FC 2–1 on aggregate in the relegation/promotion playoff.
Despite losing 1–0 in the return leg played today at the SportPesa Arena Murang’a, the Mailmen held on to their first-leg advantage to secure top-flight survival.
Naivas FC came into the decisive second leg needing at least two unanswered goals to overturn the 2–0 deficit from the first leg in Thika. They made a bright start, with Markvivan Kesa finding the back of the net in the opening 20 minutes of the match, raising hopes of a comeback.

But despite their spirited efforts, Naivas couldn’t find the second goal that would have forced extra time. Posta Rangers managed the game well, defending deep and preserving their aggregate lead to secure another season in Kenya’s top tier league. It’s the second year in a row that Naivas FC have fallen at the playoff stage, having lost last season to Sofapaka under similar circumstances.
For Posta Rangers, the result comes as relief after a difficult 2024/25 campaign that saw them finish 16th on the FKF Premier League table, just one place away from automatic relegation.

The result means Posta Rangers will feature in the 2025/26 FKF Premier League, while Naivas FC will have to regroup and try again in next season’s National Super League.
