Tusker FC’s Ryan Wesley Ogam Seals Move to Austrian Side Wolfsberger AC

Tusker FC has confirmed that rising star Ryan Wesley Ogam has completed a transfer to Austrian Bundesliga club Wolfsberger AC, marking a major step in the career of one of Kenya’s most promising young footballers.

Ogam, 21, joined Tusker at the start of last season from Rainbow FC, initially playing as a midfielder before coach Charles Okere converted him into a striker. The switch proved inspired, as he netted 15 goals in 17 appearances during the 2024/25 FKF Premier League season.

His campaign was briefly derailed in January when he suffered an injury that required surgery, sidelining him for three months. However, he made a timely return in the season finale against Kakamega Homeboyz in Mumias, where he featured for 45 minutes.

That comeback paved the way for his inclusion in the Harambee Stars squad for the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN). Ogam made an instant impact on the continental stage, scoring decisive goals against Morocco and Zambia, cementing his reputation as a rising star in Kenyan football.

The move to Wolfsberger AC is expected to accelerate Ogam’s development and provide a bigger stage for him to showcase his talent in European football.
