The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has announced 2,014 vacancies in public schools across the country, aimed at replacing teachers who left the service through natural attrition, including retirement, resignation, and death.
According to TSC, the recruitment targets staffing shortages in public primary, junior secondary, and secondary schools. This initiative is part of the Commission’s ongoing efforts to ensure adequate staffing levels and improve the quality of education in Kenyan schools.
The positions are available on permanent and pensionable terms, and applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be Kenyan citizens.
- Be registered teachers with the TSC.
- Hold the necessary academic and professional qualifications (P1 Certificate for primary schools; diploma or degree in education for junior and secondary schools).
Interested candidates are required to apply online only through the official TSC website: www.tsc.go.ke or teachersonline.tsc.go.ke. Manual applications will not be accepted.
TSC has cautioned applicants to be wary of fraudsters and reiterated that the recruitment process is free of charge. Preference will be given to teachers who have not previously been employed by the Commission.
