President William Ruto will officially inaugurate the Ksh.9.6 billion Bunge Towers on Thursday morning, following a postponement last week.
The intended launch date of April 19 was pushed forward due to the untimely death of Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) General Francis Ogolla.
The 28-story skyscraper features a gym, a beauty shop, and a restaurant for Kenyan lawmakers to utilize.
It will also include committee rooms where members can do their business.
An underground tunnel connects the offices and legislative buildings, presumably for MPs’ security and comfort.
MPs are expected to inhabit the building in two phases: Phase one will involve relocating members from KICC to the Tower or other alternative housing, while Phase two would see MPs from Continental House occupy the tower.
