Following a significant downpour in Nairobi on Sunday night, three confirmed deaths and one missing police officer have been reported.

Minutes after saving three traders and a kid at the Country Bus Station, reports state that the cop was carried away by the rushing floodwaters.

The officer’s AK-47 was carried away as he was swept away.

Along the Nairobi River, a search and rescue effort is still in progress.

In the meanwhile, the intense rain caused disruptions to schooling and livelihoods, resulting in some schools being flooded and some people of Mukuru kwa Njenga having to remain up all night due to flooding in their homes.
