The National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) has suspended Super Metro Limited’s operator license until the company fully complies with the Public Service Vehicles Regulations of 2014 and other specified conditions. This action follows a series of enforcement measures by NTSA to enhance road safety and ensure public transport operators adhere to established safety standards.
In a related development, NTSA recently suspended the driving licenses of nine matatu drivers, including those from Super Metro Ltd, due to various traffic offenses committed in Nairobi’s Central Business District (CBD). The authority has mandated that these drivers undergo a re-test at the Likoni Road Driving Testing Centre before their licenses are reinstated. Additionally, NTSA plans to conduct road safety awareness training for all drivers and conductors of the implicated operators.
