Nyamira Governor Amos Nyaribo is once again under political siege after Members of the County Assembly (MCAs) tabled a new impeachment motion seeking his removal from office.

In a special sitting, Bonyamatuta Ward MCA Julius Kimwomi Matwere introduced the motion, accusing the governor of gross violation of the Constitution and abuse of office.

The renewed ouster attempt comes as Nyaribo faces intensified scrutiny over a KSh382 million tender scandal. The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) recently raided his residences and county offices as part of an ongoing corruption investigation.
