The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM), led by Raila Odinga, will next month mark 20 years since its formation with a three-day celebration in Mombasa.

The milestone event is scheduled for October 10–12, 2025, and will feature a series of activities reflecting ODM’s journey, achievements, and vision for the future.

ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna said the anniversary will go beyond celebrations, serving as a moment of reflection on the party’s struggles, victories, and lessons that have shaped its pursuit of a just, united, and prosperous Kenya.

The programme will include a Youth Summit bringing together emerging leaders, a Women’s Convention honouring the role of women in Kenya’s democratic journey, and a youth concert showcasing creativity and talent within the Orange Movement.

Sports lovers will also enjoy a football tournament featuring AFC Leopards, Bandari FC, Gor Mahia, and Shabana FC — symbolising unity through sport.

In the lead-up to the main event, ODM will hold activities across the country, with Migori and Wajir highlighted as major stops to underscore the party’s grassroots connection.

“ODM has stood at the forefront of defending constitutionalism and people’s rights for two decades. This anniversary is a testament to the resilience of our members and the trust Kenyans have placed in us,” said Sifuna, inviting party members, supporters, and Kenyans of goodwill to join the celebrations.

Founded in 2005, ODM has been one of Kenya’s most influential political parties, playing a central role in shaping the country’s democratic space.

The Mombasa celebrations are expected to attract thousands of participants and will be graced by Raila Odinga and other top party leaders, setting the tone for ODM’s next chapter.
