The FKF National Super League enters Round 7 this weekend with the title race finely balanced and every fixture carrying weight. With just goal difference separating the top three teams ; Kibera Black Stars, Migori Youth, and Mombasa United , the league is shaping into one of the most unpredictable seasons in recent memory.
Saturday’s action opens with two intriguing fixtures. At the Sports Complex in Ndalani, MCF host MOFA in a clash between two sides desperate for consistency. MCF have struggled to turn draws into wins, while MOFA’s energy and attacking rhythm have made them difficult to contain. MOFA, who drew 1–1 with Kabati Youth in midweek, will look to convert their chances better this time, while MCF seek a performance that can lift them from mid-table stagnation.

Over in Nairobi, FC Talanta face Luanda Villa at Ruaraka Grounds in a 2:00 PM kickoff. Talanta have been solid but guilty of spurning opportunities, with three draws in their last four matches. Luanda Villa, on the other hand, are still reeling from consecutive defeats and will be eager to rediscover their early-season resilience. Both teams are capable of playing expansive football, making this an important game for momentum.
Naivas FC round off Saturday’s fixtures when they welcome Soy United to the KIHBT Grounds in Ngong. Naivas have quietly established themselves as early contenders, unbeaten at home and within touching distance of the summit. Soy United, however, arrive with growing confidence after a spirited 1–1 draw against MOFA. A victory for Naivas could see them climb into the top two, depending on results elsewhere.
Sunday’s fixtures spread across the country promise even more drama. In Kawangware, table-toppers Kibera Black Stars face a stern test against Equity Bank at Hope Center. Conrad Imbusi and Jephiter Bundi’s goals last weekend lifted Kibera to the summit on goal difference, but they face an in-form Equity side that ended Migori Youth’s unbeaten run in Awendo. Both teams are brimming with confidence, and the atmosphere in Kawangware is expected to be electric.
Migori Youth will be looking to bounce back quickly when they host Gucha Stars at the Awendo Green Stadium. After suffering their first loss of the campaign to Equity Bank, Migori Youth will rely on Fred Ologi and Woodvine Okoth ; their scorers in the 3–2 defeat, to reignite their title charge. Gucha Stars, who have battled hard in recent games suffering a defeat at home to Fortune Sacco in last game week, will aim to frustrate the hosts and snatch a result away from home.
At Kianyaga Stadium, Fortune Sacco welcome Nairobi City Stars in what promises to be a competitive encounter. Fortune have been steady but inconsistent though they will look to build up from away win in Gusii against Gucha Stars while City Stars, buoyed by their 1–0 win over Darajani Gogo in midweek, are looking to build on that momentum. Both sides have plenty to play for, sitting mid-table but within reach of the top six.
In Embu, 3K FC take on Kisumu All Stars at Moi Stadium. 3K have maintained a strong home record and sit just five points off the top, while Kisumu All stars are still chasing their first win of the season. The Eagle’s (Otenga) defensive discipline could make this game tighter than expected, but 3K’s attacking form at home makes them slight favorites.

Down in Wundanyi, Mwatate United and Kabati Youth face off at Dawson Mwanyumba Stadium- Wundanyi in what feels like a relegation six-pointer. Both teams sit in the bottom three, yet to register a victory this season. With identical records and fragile defenses, this fixture could be the spark one side needs to turn their campaign around.
Meanwhile, at Sudi Stadium in Bungoma, Nzoia Sugar play host to Vihiga United. Nzoia’s youthful side continues to show promise, holding Mombasa United to a draw in a rain-soaked Round 6 clash. Vihiga, however, have been tough to beat, drawing four of their last five matches. A first win for either side could propel them toward mid-table safety.
The early weeks of the 2025/26 National Super League have already delivered twists, late goals, and surprise results and Round 7 promises more of the same across every venue.
